Our Story
Why we built this.
Owning a home has become one of the hardest things a person can do.
Construction costs have gone through the roof. Timelines stretch to years. And most of the alternatives out there are either ugly, overpriced, or both. We went looking for something different. Something that did not feel like a compromise. Something beautiful enough to be proud of, fast enough to be practical, and affordable enough to actually be within reach.
We found it in Indonesia. A small team of master craftsmen. A species of bamboo so strong it rivals steel. And a design so distinctive that when you see it, you stop.
We are BUYAMIA Homes. And we created this for every person who still believes owning something beautiful is possible.
The Material
Why bamboo.
Gigantochloa pseudoarundinacea
Gombong bamboo, native to the highlands of Java, and one of the largest, densest bamboo species on earth. Harvested at exactly 5 years old, when its fibres reach peak structural strength through a process called lignification.
Engineered into laminated panels. Pressure-treated with boron against termites and moisture. Built to last 25 years with maintenance every two years.
This is not just a material choice. It is a statement about what building can look like when we stop compromising.
Why Gombong
Not all bamboo is equal. Gigantochloa pseudoarundinacea is selected for its wall thickness, fibre density, and structural consistency, qualities that make it the ideal base material for engineered laminated panels used in load-bearing construction.
